English class

 Given the importance of English at world level, it is very important to have a good course or classes where you can learn, in general my experience with the courses that the university imparts has been very good (even if only been in level 3 and 4). I believe that the use of blogs in these courses is a creative and fun way to learn, that allows to practice writing even I consider it better than answering questionnaires, because it allows (or at least allowed me) to realize which Are the most common mistakes we make and allow us to correct them. 
 For me it is very important to learn English correctly, since I plan (in the long term) to travel to other countries, in addition most of the information in the scientific community is written or translated to English, so that to better understand the information is necessary to handle this language.In particular my way of learning English is through songs in this language, I listen to them, I look for their lyrics, I translate them and I learn them, so that I increase my vocabulary, another way is to see series in English sometimes with or without subtitles, I also know a game called duolingo where not only can you learn English, but several languages, currently I completed the English classes and I am learning French, but since it has been a week of  test and delivery of homeworks, I have not been able to play much, I really hope the holidays, because I also want to learn Italian.

Changes in psychology

I am usually not very aware of the discussions about the psychology career, however I think when it comes to the curriculum mesh it is very important to know what is going to happen. The last thing I hear is that in the assemblies has been discussed about taking some subjects and adding others, the subjects that I wanted to remove were philosophy, anthropology and sociology, from my point of view leaving out subjects like anthropology and sociology is not a good idea, because Both subjects offer us another way of seeing our study subject and in future our patient, since they teach us how culture and society affect people, besides teaching us how to study it, methods such as ethnography are very important. Other options in terms of changes within the career are that they are seeing the possibility of changing the order in which we have to take the subjects, for example taking the subject of basic psychological processes in the first semester instead of the second. In addition there is the possibility of introducing more subjects in relation to psychometry.
Another very important issue is that within the career there are very few instances where we can do practical work, that is, there are very few times when we have contacts with patients, communities or people in general, most of the work is theoretical and so there are not real instances that  prepares us for practice before we graduate. I think it would be very useful if the subjects were reformulated to generate more practical instances. Anyway I'll have to wait and see what happens.

Holidays

Holidays is the best part of the year to me, because the scholar year is over and that mean that I don't have to do more homework. Although at the same time is sad because a some of my friends live in another regions of the contry and I can't see them very often. Any way, this holidays I been plan finish every book that I couldn't read throughout the scholar year, there are many books that i have to read, some books are of the saga "dark hunter" by Sherrilyn Kenyon (I mencioned this author in my last post). Other thing that i want to do this holidays is see the many series that will premier this summer like "ShadowHunters" ( the first chapter will see the light on January 2) or "Sense8" (the firts chapter will premiere on Christmas).
Maybe this summer I will go to Concepcion because the mother of a friend that we call "Lobito" ( his real name is Jose) invited us my sister and I to go to her house, since she wanted to know both of us (she only knows my sister). Maybe I will go to the beach sometime in the summer with my family or travel somewhere with my college friends (last summer we went to the house of a friend in Rancagua). Maybe I Will sleep until twelve o'clock every day of summer, I do not know, I'll see what I'll do.

Myths

In general when it comes to this subject I like several myths, but the myths that really are my favorites are the Greek. I have known some by investigate the Greek culture, but mostly what made me love the Greek myths was the saga of books  "Dark Hunters" by Sherrylin Kenyon.
One F my favorites myths is the myths of Psyche, she was a princess of a beauty so extraordinary that the same goddess Aphrodite was jealous of her. However, Psyche was so beautiful that she still was virgin because her superhuman beauty frightened her suitors. Aphrodite ordered her son Eros, the god of love, to punish the daring mortal. Therefore, some time later, an oracle sent Psyche's father, under the threat of a terrible calamity, to take his daughter to a solitary rock where she would be devoured by a monster.
But the god Eros, when he saw the girl who had to die in the mouth of the monster that awaited her below, was so impressed by her beauty that he stumbled and pricked herself with one of his own arrows-those arrows he used so effectively to bring sudden love to both mortals and gods.
This is how Eros fell in love with the person his mother had told him to eliminate. But the happiness of this couple would not come until after Psyche went through four tests imposed by the goddess Aphrodite.In the fourth test Psyche fell into a deep sleep, from which she could not awaken, however Eros woke Psyche out of a crush of his mortal sleep and, climbing up to Olympus, asked Zeus for permission for Psyche to join him.
Zeus gave it to him and gave Psyche immortality, feeding him Ambrosia. Aphrodite forgot her bitterness and the wedding of the two lovers was celebrated on Olympus with great rejoicing.

Post graduate studies

Within the psychology I have always liked the area of ​​children - youth, sexology or psychological profiles, even when these areas are really different.  As for these three areas I know that within the psychology career there are optional courses that I can take according to each subject, however, when in post - graduate courses at the University of Chile, there are only courses in the area of ​​children and youth. If I choose to obtain a post degree in the area of ​​sexology or psychological profiles, the best option is to study in Europe; it can be in Italy, England or Germany and considering that Germany is a country where great contributions to the area of ​​psychology are developed, these country could be the best option. On the other way, Canada is a country that stands out in terms of the possibilities to study, work and residence in the country more easily, especially with people who have professional titles in the area of ​​health or professional titles in general because the most of the people in that country don´t have one.  Another option is Australia, since there are many scholarships that allow study in that country, the only reason to not go to that country are its variety of big and dangerous animals; no one wants to wake up with a snake in his house or a crocodile in the pool. Well, I think that when I get my degree as a psychologist and work a little maybe I can decide which option is better in terms of what to study and where.

  

future job!

My future job? Well in my life I thought that I would like to do different jobs, I was thinking in veterinary, engineering, work in occupational therapy and finally psychology. What made me decide for psychology was my constant curiosity about why the people act like they act and why of my own actions, besides asking why certain things made me feel a certain way. It was that added to my amazing ability to detect how people feel and give good advice, which led me to choose be a psychologist like a job and although most people associate this work with a consultation room and a sofa where the patient sits down to talk about his life, the reality is that is a small part of everything that involves being a psychologist. Some psychologists work in a consultation room, others work with the police in psychologists profiles of criminals or sometimes they work in areas that is related with neuroscience. In my case I would like to work in a consultation room or a school with children and adolescents, another idea that always liked is the possibility of being sexologist or perhaps work on criminology doing psychological profiles, I don't know, is a decision that I'll have to take when I graduated;  may even prefer to leave everything and just travel the country working for a few days or a week on anything that arises. The best thing of everything is that i still have three years to make a decision.
  

series!

Hi everyone!, today I will talk about the series that I´m obsesses, I can think in just one because one of my favorite hobbies is watch TV series like "Supernatural" or "The walking dead" ( I can´t wait to the new season of each one) but actually I´m obsesses with two series, the first is ShadowHunters a series of Freeform  based on the a books of Cassandra Clare, is a series of fantasy, action and supernatural drama. Before the series already had made a movie based on the books, the movie is called "ShadowHunters: City of Bones", but these movie was not very success. ShadowHunters series is not very attached to the books because it is a combination of the first three books of the saga, but is a real good series and I recommended you see it. Although ShadowHunters is good, I'm really obsessed with Sense 8. 

Sense8 is an American television series for web science fiction created, written and produced by the Wachowski Brothers and J. Michael Straczynski. The first season consists of 12 episodes and premiered on Netflix on June 5, 2015 and the first episode of the second season will premiere on Christmas. I really like this series because the plot revolves around eight strangers from around the world that suddenly connect mentally and emotionally. The series explores topics such as politics, identity, sexuality, gender and religion. The connection between these different people and how they get to know and help each other is something really interesting and gives you a different look at what it means to be a human. 

   

Pets!

Today I´m will to talk about the pets that I have in the present. Actually I have two hedgehogs, two dogs and one cat.

The hedgehogs was a beautiful gift of my brother in law for my birthday and actually they will comply a year with my family in November. They are a male his name is Ren and a female her name is Suki. When they arrived not let anyone touch them, but slowly grew accustomed to my sister and me. Most of the times we have them in separate cages, but occasionally we let them run around the room.

The two dogs are females, the oldest is eight years old, her name is Maya and the other (named Misu) is three years old, both of them are very tender and restless and like to break things, especially garden hose, both born of a mixture of races and have the coat white with light brown tones, I love them a lot. Finally the cat (I always call him Little Beast), my cat have almost two years old and they fur have tones white and black, he is very restless and he like to bite things (especially my arm), but always stop if I ask him for it, he is very curious too and like to eat very much, always want to know what I´m eating even when the food that I eat don´t like him, he want to smell it, is funny when he does that!

30 seconds to mars

The best concert I've gone was the concert of 30 Seconds to Mars, this concert was held on October 14 at the Movistar Arena, although that the original date was May 7, but they had to put it off because a member the band was ill. Although there were certain moments where it really scared me, one of them was when we were going to enter in the concert and people started pushing and I couldn´t breathe because I was  trapped near one of the bars of containment, the other moment was when we were in the Movistar and people were trying to get to the front row, I separated from my sister and my friend (I went with them) because of the jostling, but a guy who was very tall and had a white shirt helped  me and I got out of the crowd to go find my group. Forgetting that little detail all the concert was amazing and the band played my favorite songs from each album, even Jared surprised the audience appearing on a small stage behind the crowd. I just hope they come back soon to go to another concert.

 

Ukraine!

In my life I´ve thought that I would like to visit a lot of countries like Alaska, France, Italy, Finland and Ukraine, the last one is one of my favorite because have so many places to visit and a great food, but the thing that a like the most about Ukraine are they countless landscapes.

Landscapes in this country are so many different and wonderful even the cities have their charm; a lot of the buildings were built many years ago including a couple of castles as Castle Pidgoreckie in the city of Lviv. Other example of beautiful building is the urban complex Zarichnyj, the project that unites the best traditions of modern architecture with the beauty of Ukrainian nature. But when a think of more natural landscapes I would like to visit places like the Koyaske salty lake in Crimea or The tunnel of love that is close to Klevan in the region of Rivno. The tunnel of love was an old rail train that crosses the forest of Klevan but the trees that grew around it became what it is today.

The Last Blog

Well this is the last post that I will write on my blog. I have to say that I really enjoy writing my blog, this


is something that I never did before and maybe in the future I can do it
again. I think that this is an activity very interesting, funny and constructive
because while I write the blog I had the opportunity to learn about my
classmates and how to write correctly in English (obviously), although
sometimes it was difficult because I did not know some words. I really enjoyed
a lot by reading my classmates´ blogs and the messages they left, some posts
were very interesting and I learned about many and different things. I just
wish we could write about many more issues besides the subjects that
corresponded with the class, when we wrote a free theme was funnier, even
though the blog I liked the most was to write about how to help the planet and
ways of recycling, but blogging about websites that we used for our careers or
the person of our career that we admired the most was very interesting, anyway
I really liked writing a blog, was it a very good activity.


 

Preventive Psychology

Well the web site that I usually use that is related with my career is YouTube. In YouTube I visit an account called Preventive Psychology that has as its logo the image of a Rubik's cube.This account has many videos related to different topics of psychology such as different types of disorders and therapies, also has a series of videos that talk about different types of psychology besides various random topics about the different psychological aspects of individuals and society. The thing that I love more than everything about this wed site is the amount of information that I can found on it. The account has a section where you can enter in three different playlists, the first playlist has TV programs, the second playlist has documentaries (which are most of the videos from the account) and the third and last playlist has videos of talks given by different people of many countries.I really do not visit much this account, but the truth is that when I do I spend hours watching videos on it, especially videos about therapies.

Thinking in holidays

I can’t believe that it is only one month to finish college classes. In the only thing that I can think is all that I can do and will do these holidays of summer (leaving aside the assessments that I have not done).These holidays I will dedicate to sleep so much as I can, go out with friends (maybe we can go to the beach and play a little bit of volleyball for a few days) and in the night I will see every series that I couldn’t   because I was very busy studying and reading text for the classes of the university. I have a very long list about the series that I want to see and another about the books that I couldn't buy or read I plan see every series and read every book that I wrote in the list. I have so many things that I want to do that I can hardly wait to begin it.

Ecology and my garden

Well I don’t know much about environmentally friendly practices  or where I can learn about it and I have never joined an ecological organization but I usually prefer walk always that I can or use the public transport, I don’t throw garbage on the street and if my friends do I ask them to pick up, I do not smoke. In my family we do not recycle much but we use rechargeable batteries and bulbs that consume low electricity. A few months ago, in the summer of this year we plant two rose plants and two trees in the front garden, the first tree that we plant was an orange tree and the second was a lemon tree, oranges that we got from the first tree were very sweet and juicy, we don’t get fruit of the second tree because is very small yet but I hope that the lemons be juicy as the oranges. If there something that I always want to do is help clean the beaches because I love the beach and the sea, but my family does not travel much and I can travel alone or without permission from my father. I hope that in the next year we can plant another tree or a flower bush in our garden.  I love very much this beautiful planet!
 

Future

  

The future. I never think a lot about my future because I always have an idea about how I want to spend my life. Now I am studying psychology and I hope to finish the career before I am twenty-four years. As a psychologist I want to specialize in treatment with athletes and teenagers but I think that I can work with children to, even though the criminology sound like something that I am possibly want to learn and work on it ( I don’t know, is another option). I don’t have a specific place where a like to work because I don’t believe in the stereotype of the psychologist that work in the office with the divan or couch, I think that depends of the situation and patient or as my teacher of Psychology of Personality say, “the client”. If there a thing that I want to learn in a future is how to do a treatment with hypnosis and regression because from my point of view this sounds very interesting.

Another thing that I hope to make is work for a few years and then makes a journey around Chile or another country like French, Italy, in general around Europe to learn about the different culture, language and famous monuments in the different cities.  

The last film that I saw

Hi! This time I'm going to speak about the movies that I like to see. Usually, I see all kinds of movies such as action, comedy; musical, romantic comedy but my favorite kinds of films are horror, science fiction and animation, specially the Japanese movies of the director Hayao Miyazaki (I love “Spirited away” and “Howl's Moving Castle”). Well, the last movie or film that I saw was “Hotel Transylvania 2” in the cinema with two friends of the University after the last class that we have that day. I think this movie is adorable, especially some scenes (that I don´t describe because I don´t know if you see the film) and the soundtrack was cool. When I see the first movie I love it but now a think the second part is better and I hope these films become a trilogy.
